Pet cat transportation

 

 

 

Kitty has been with her master for many years. Because her master wants to work in Singapore, she has to accompany her master. The entry requirements of pet cats and dogs in Singapore are similar to those of other island countries (New Zealand and Australia). They need to be tested for rabies antibody, and they need to be isolated and observed for one month. At the same time, an official health certificate issued within 10 days is essential, which must focus on the quarantine of rabies and other major pet diseases.

 

1、 Import license

 

Each animal should be accompanied by a valid import license issued by AVA, the official Department of Singapore.

 

 

 

2、 Health certificate and Quarantine issued by veterinarian

 

The veterinary certificate within 7 days before leaving the country (which must be consistent with the official template of Singapore) must be issued by the veterinarian approved by the country of departure, describing the age, breeding, sex, color, spots or other characteristics that can identify the dog / cat:

 

1. Dogs / cats are examined by government approved veterinarians and found to be healthy, have no clinical symptoms of infectious diseases, and are suitable for travel during the period of departure.

 

2. The cat / dog is examined by a government approved veterinarian and confirmed that the chip has been implanted and has the same identification code as in the veterinary health certificate and vaccination certificate

 

3. Cats / dogs must be vaccinated with AVA approved vaccine at least 6 months before leaving the country. This is based on the duration of the vaccine and the recommendations of the vaccine manufacturer. The cat / dog must be sampled for serum samples and tested for rabies antibody levels at least one month after vaccination and six months before departure.

 

4. If the entry pet is a dog, it is necessary to vaccinate canine distemper, canine infectious hepatitis and canine parvovirus disease at least 2 weeks before leaving the country according to the recommendations of the vaccine manufacturer.

 

5. If the entry pet is a cat, it is necessary to vaccinate cat influenza and feline enteritis at least 2 weeks before leaving the country according to the recommendations of the vaccine manufacturer.

 

6. External pest control should be carried out for the cat / dog within 2-10 days before leaving the country, and the internal pest control should be carried out within 4 days before leaving the country.

 

7. The original vaccination certificate of the cat / dog, including the chip implantation information of the identification code.

 

 

3、 Isolation

 

After arriving in Hong Kong, the animals must be vaccinated with rabies vaccine (whether or not they have been vaccinated before entering Hong Kong), followed by an isolation observation period of not less than 30 days. It is the responsibility of the owner or his agent to determine whether there is a space for segregation at Sembawang animal isolation station. (friendly tips: Singapore has limited isolation space, and there are not a few animals entering Singapore. Therefore, if you plan to take your pets to Singapore, you should book the quarantine space as soon as possible. If you are late, your schedule will be affected.).

2. Some pets have airsickness phenomenon, or they will be frightened by the strong pressure of aircraft takeoff and landing, specifically manifested as slow reaction, vomiting, listlessness, abnormal urine and urine, etc. These are normal phenomena, pet owners are no more panic, after a few days of rest, pets will be as lovely as before.

 

3. The special aviation box or wire cage for pets should be light, easy to load and unload, suitable for animal characteristics and meet the requirements of air transportation, which can prevent animals from damaging, escaping and contacting the outside world, ensure ventilation and prevent pets from suffocating. The packaging should be equipped with facilities to prevent the overflow of feces.
